Rikon Sliding Tablesaw

Rikon sliding tablesaw

A crosscut sled is a great addition to any tablesaw, but often it isn't large enough to handle big pieces. That's when you dream about a saw with a sliding table, such as this one from Rikon. The Rikon 10-110 10-in., 3-hp cabinet saw retails for about $1,999. Its sliding table travels 49 in., more than enough to crosscut a full 4x8 sheet. The sliding table's miter gauge pivots 45 degrees both ways. On the right side of the blade, the fence can be slid far enough to rip stock up to 58 in. wide. That extra capacity is perfect for 5 ft. x 5 ft. sheets of Baltic Birch. Speaking of extras, this saw can handle a dado set up to 29/32-in. thick (that's just over 7/8 in.), a larger capacity than any other 10-in. saw, according to Rikon.
