Rockler CNC Shark Routers Mililani HI

Three-axis travel on both models lets users make straight or curved cuts at various depths. The Shark also has a unique cutting mechanism. Instead of using an expensive built-in router, the machine works with an off-the-shelf Bosch Colt palm router, which can save thousands on replacement if the router fails.

Rockler CNC Shark Routers

Tool News - Rockler CNC Shark Routers

Rockler Woodworking and Hardware recently announced the new CNC Shark and CNC Shark Pro, two full-featured CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) routing systems that give hobbyists, professionals and home woodworkers affordable options for automated routing. While most CNC machines are either too complex, too big or too expensive for home shops, the compact, user-friendly Shark brings the ability to machine intricate, custom designs to consumers who can't afford or don't have the space for the industrial-size machines. The smaller CNC Shark has a 15-3/4" x 31-1/2" table and will handle signs, carvings and other small projects. For bigger jobs, the Shark Pro nearly doubles width, making it useful for doors, large signs and other sizeable displays. Three-axis travel on both models lets users make straight or curved cuts at various depths. The Shark also has a unique cutting mechanism. Instead of using an expensive built-in router, the machine works with an off-the-shelf Bosch Colt palm router, which can save thousands on replacement if the router fails. At $2599.99 for the CNC Shark and $3399.99 for the Pro, it's still a sizable investment, but much less than larger CNC machines.
